The Grand Hyatt Melbourne Hotel is located at the top end of prestigious Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne's central business, shopping, theatre and restaurant district and is within walking distance of many of Melbourne's tourist attractions. A major redevelopment of the hotel's lobbies, retail area and restaurants will be completed in the second half of 2008.

Grand King Room - $260 per night

Floor-to-ceiling windows feature views of the city's bustling business district, complementing Art Deco-inspired decor. Apartments have separate lounge and dining areas; fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer; individual fully equipped laundry, with combined washer and dryer facilities; most apartments with balconies; separate bathroom for each bedroom; main bathrooms with combined bath/shower, second bathrooms (in 2 bedroom apartments) with shower only.

Accommodation Booking Conditions

Please Note:

  • The accommodation rates quoted include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and are subject to availability at time of booking.
  • Rates may increase without notice due to changes in government charges, taxes or levies.
  • Rates do not include breakfast
  • The deadline for accommodation bookings is MONDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2008

Accommodation Payment: A minimum deposit equivalent to one night's accommodation is required to secure your booking. Full prepayment of accommodation is also accepted.

Accommodation Availability: Block bookings have been made at the listed accommodation properties, and will be confirmed on a first-in basis. Bookings have been made for the Conference dates only (Checking in on Sunday the 12th October and out on Tuesday 14th October). Accommodation can be organised outside these dates on a by request basis only, and room rates may vary outside these dates.All accommodation bookings are subject to availability.

How to Book Accommodation: To book, complete either the Online Registration Form or the download the PDF version of the Registration Form and fax or post to East Coast Conferences. The Conference Managers will forward your reservation and deposit/full prepayment to the hotel of your choice.

Change of Booking: Any change to a reservation must be notified to the Conference Managers and not directly to the hotel.Please note, any changes must be made to the Conference Managers by Thursday 11 September 2008.After this date, please liaise directly with the hotel for any changes to your booking. Cancellations must be made in writing (fees may apply).

Late Arrivals: Please indicate on your registration form or notify the Conference Managers in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after 6pm. Failure to notify of a late arrival may mean that your room will be released.

Arrival Time: Hotel check-in time is usually 2pm.If you are to arrive before this time it is probable that you will not be able to gain access to your room. To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival you will need to pre-book your room for the previous night. If required please indicate on your registration form. (You will be charged by the hotel for the additional night).

Accommodation Refunds: Any accommodation cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival will be subject to one night's accommodation cancellation fee. One night's accommodation cancellation fee will also be incurred if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked.

Airport transfers

The Central Business District is 30 minutes from Melbourne Airport. A taxi costs approximately $50. A regular airport to city bus service (Skybus) departs the airport every 10-15 minutes for $16 one way or $26 return. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Skybus kiosk located outside the baggage claim area.
